UNIT 2: Innovation in the classroom

This is my second year teaching which is means that I have a lot to learn and a lot to improve in my teaching practice.  In my first one in Spain, I was homeroom teacher of 6 graders who lived in a difficult environment. I tough Spanish Language Art, Science, Social, English Language Art and P.E. As you can see, there were a lot of subjects for a new teacher! I had to accepted as a challenge, and really was it.  With this specific group of students and college  my weakest areas were  the classroom management, the cooperation with other teachers and the work in projects.  This is my second year and now I am in Unites States. I am 3 rd  grade teacher and again self-contained. The methodology here is totally different to Spain. Here we must grouped students in groups, work in station at least 3 times at week, work in small group and having conferences and individually tutoring with kids.  This year, my weakness point are the class managem...

UNIT 3: PROJECT DESIGN

NAME : ART AROUND THE WORLD PROJECT DESCRIPTION : Students will do a research about the best painters of all time, and they will choose the one who connect best with themselves.  TARGET STUDENTS : 9-11 years old LANGUAGE : English GOAL AND AIM: 1. Use the ICT to do a research  2. Work cooperatively in small groups of 2-4 students 3. Improve the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills 4.
